Govt seeks airfare data from IndiGo, Akasa & others after December chaos: Report

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has asked IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet and Akasa Air to provide data on average fares charged between December 1 and 15, Reuters reported. This comes after thousands of flight cancellations by IndiGo last month disrupted air travel nationwide, leading to price hikes. The CCI ordered a probe into IndiGo following the disruptions.
