Govt snatching lifeline of poor: Rahul on Railways inviting firms

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday criticised the Centre over its move to invite private players in passenger train operations. "Railways is the only lifeline of the poor and the government is snatching it away from them," he tweeted. Railways invited Request for Qualifications(RFQ) from firms to operate train services on 109 routes through the introduction of 151 modern trains.
