Govt spending ₹20,000cr to fix accident-prone spots: Gadkari

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Friday said the government is spending above ₹20,000 crore to rectify accident-prone spots, and to make underpasses, flyovers across India to reduce road-related accidents. "Government is also taking preventive measures in the auto industry like seat belt reminders...One of the major reasons for road accidents is flawed engineering," he added.
