Govt spends over ₹400 crore in 10 years on court cases

The central government has spent more than ₹400 crore to contest court cases during the past 10 years, according to official data. The government's expenditure on litigations stood at ₹66 crore in the financial year 2023-24, over ₹9 crore higher than the previous fiscal. In 2014-15, the government spent ₹26.64 crore on litigations.
