Govt spent ₹7 crore on Neeraj Chopra's training, procured 177 javelins: SAI

Sports Authority of India has revealed the government spent ₹7 crore on Neeraj Chopra's training ahead of Tokyo Olympics, where the javelin thrower won a gold medal. Neeraj was provided 450-day foreign training and he spent 1,167 days at national coaching camp at NSNIS Patiala. The government procured 177 javelins and also bought a javelin throw machine worth ₹74.28 lakh.
