Govt to borrow ₹3.84 lakh crore from treasury bills to meet needs

Indian government on Monday said it is considering borrowing ₹3.84 lakh crore from short-term treasury bills during the fourth quarter of the current financial year. The government is planning to do the borrowing, which will be spread over 12 weeks, to meet short-term funding requirements. The weekly auction would vary between ₹29,000 crore and ₹35,000 crore.
