Govt to cut Vi's licence fee by 60-65% says report; shares up 3.5%

The government may slash Vodafone Idea's licence fees by 60-65% after a reassessment exercise conducted by the Department of Telecommunications, according to multiple reports. The reassessment of Spectrum Usage Charges (SUC), which is still pending, may reportedly be completed by March 31. Following the reports, the company's shares rose 3.6% to hit an intraday high of ₹10.35.
