Govt to double Air Marshal deployment amid rising bomb threats

Following several bomb threats to flights, government has decided to double the number of Air Marshals on flights originating from airports across India. The addition will be made on new international routes added in sensitive category based on intelligence report, ANI reported quoting a Home Ministry official. Air Marshals are armed plainclothes security officers who travel on passenger aircraft.
