Govt to extend ESI scheme across country by end of 2022

The Union Labour Ministry said on Sunday that the Employees' State Insurance (ESI) scheme will be extended to all 744 districts of the country by the end of 2022. During the 188th meeting of the ESI Corporation, it was also decided that ESIC will set up 23 new 100-bed hospitals and multiple dispensaries across India.
