Govt to launch & test mobile disaster alert system, urges people not to panic

Centre will launch a mobile-based disaster communication system, developed by Department of Telecommunications with National Disaster Management Authority, on Friday. It will ensure the "timely dissemination of critical information," Centre stated. Moreover, the Centre urged citizens not to panic as a message will be sent to mobiles in all capital cities, including Delhi-NCR, during the launch.
