Govt to launch Semiconductor Mission 2.0 with ₹1.2-lakh-cr outlay: Report

The government is set to launch India Semiconductor Mission 2.0 by May with a proposed outlay of ₹1-1.2 lakh crore, higher than the ₹76,000 crore allocated for the first phase, NDTV Profit reported. The government aims to expand beyond chip fabrication and design. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is awaiting final approval from the Finance Ministry.
