Govt to launch SMART standards using AI to reduce compliance: Report

The Consumer Affairs Ministry is planning to introduce AI powered, machine-readable, SMART (Standard Machine Accessible, Readable and Transferable) standards to reduce compliance burdens, Moneycontrol reported. These standards convert regulatory requirements into structured digital rules that computer systems can interpret directly, enabling automated compliance checks without manual intervention.
