Govt to offer incentives to private hospitals to join Modicare

The government will offer incentives to private hospitals to take part in Modicare health insurance programme, National Health Authority CEO Indu Bhushan said. He added that 60% of approximately 20,000 hospitals registered under the programme are private-sector ones. A FICCI-EY report had said that private hospitals complained that treatment rates offered by NHA covered only 40-80% of their costs.
