Govt unveils tax utility to compare old & new IT Act provisions

The Income Tax Department has introduced "parallel reading functionality", an online interactive tool that will enable taxpayers to read and compare provisions of the old and new Income Tax Acts side-by-side. The Income Tax Act, 2025, will replace the Income Tax Act, 1961, from April 1. The new utility aims to facilitate taxpayers and stakeholders during this transition.
