Govt urges Indians to stay away from joining Russian Army, warns of 'grave danger'

The Centre on Wednesday urged Indians to avoid offers to join the Russian Army amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, calling such recruitment a "matter of deep concern" and "fraught with grave danger to life". Around 259 Indians are believed to have joined Russian forces since the war began, with 69 still believed to be serving, the Centre said.
