Govt warns Android users against e-challan app malware campaign

Government warned Android users about a sophisticated malware campaign that impersonates Regional Transport Office (RTO) and e-challan notifications to steal sensitive personal and financial information. Fraudsters are using alerts to lure victims into installing malicious application files named "RTO Challan.apk" and "RTO E Challan.apk". Once activated, malware runs silently in the background.
