Govt warns of online gaming addiction, flags mental health risks: Report

The Union Health Ministry has sent a note to all ministries warning about the online gaming addiction, News18 reported. The note flagged the mental health risks, stating that prolonged gaming can trigger psychological distress, reduced concentration, low mood and declining motivation. It stated gaming becomes problematic when individuals begin to neglect studies or work and compromise sleep.
