Govt writes to states to reserve 20% jobs for Agniveers

Home Minister Amit Shah has written to all states to reserve 20% jobs for Agniveers after they complete their four-year term in 2027, an official said on Wednesday. The ministry called for this reservation in positions including forest guards, mining guards, police constables, firemen and jail wardens. Haryana has become the first state to implement Agniveer reservations in uniformed services.
