Grandmother donates kidney, saves 5-year-old at Fortis Bengaluru

A 64-year-old grandmother, Ms Meena, donated her kidney to save her 5-year-old grandson, Shreyas, at Fortis Hospital, Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru. The rare, complex transplant involved advanced paediatric and robotic surgery due to Shreyas' chronic kidney ailment and bladder issues. The boy recovered well and was discharged four days post-surgery.
