Graphite from used batteries can boost fuel cell efficiency: Study

A study found that recycled graphite from spent lithium-ion batteries can convert battery waste into a high-value functional material that improves fuel cell efficiency. The research, conducted by ARCI scientists, would help promote recycling of lithium-ion batteries and reduce reliance on costly catalyst materials. Fuel cells are used to convert chemical energy of a fuel into electrical energy.
