Grass has right to grow & donkey has right to eat in a democracy: SC on Nupur's plea

Supreme Court Justice Surya Kant, while criticising Nupur Sharma for her comments on the Prophet, remarked, "In a democracy, everyone has the right to speak." He added, "In a democracy, grass has the right to grow and a donkey has the right to eat." Suspended BJP leader Nupur had sought to transfer FIRs filed against her to Delhi.
