Greece offers Britain treasures in exchange for return of 'stolen' marble sculptures
Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis has offered to lend some of the country's treasures to the British Museum in exchange for the 2,500-year-old sculptures which were ‘stolen’ from Athens. Mitsotakis said that the sculptures, also known as the Elgin marbles, belong in the Acropolis Museum. Previously, UK PM Boris Johnson said that antiquities were acquired legally.
