Greece to start monthly fine on over-60s for not taking vaccine

Greece on Monday intends to start imposing a €100 (nearly ₹8,500) per month fine on people aged over 60 for not getting coronavirus vaccinations. The country's PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis had earlier encouraged people to get vaccinated, saying, "It's not a matter of fine...but that's the least." Greek authorities said that unvaccinated people are at high risk for hospitalisation from coronavirus.
