Grenade-like object sparks panic in Batala; turns out to be a publicity stunt

Punjab's Batala Police on Saturday said it promptly acted on social media reports regarding a suspected grenade near the Focal Point area. Bomb disposal experts were immediately deployed and safely removed the suspicious object, which resembled a grenade. A person named Manu Agwan claimed responsibility for the incident, which is believed to be a publicity stunt, police said.
