Greta Thunberg apologises for 'put leaders against the wall' comment
Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg has apologised for saying world leaders should be "put against the wall" during a speech in Turin, Italy. In English, the phrase is associated with execution by firing squad. "That's Swenglish...to put someone against the wall means to hold someone accountable. That's what happens when you improvise speeches in a second language," she tweeted.
