Grindr's Chinese owner may sell dating app under US pressure

LGBTQ dating app Grindr's Chinese owner Beijing Kunlun Tech is seeking to sell the app after a US national security panel raised concerns about its ownership, Reuters reported. Grindr is reportedly soliciting acquisition interest from US investment firms and its competitors. Kunlun had bought majority 60% stake in Grindr in 2016 for $93 million and completed the buyout in 2018.
