Gross violation of maritime law: Russia on US seizing its oil tanker

Reacting to the US seizure of a Russian-flagged oil tanker, Moscow called it a “gross violation” of maritime law and freedom of navigation, and demanded an immediate end to the “illegal actions” along with the release of the crew. The US seized the tanker Marinera to block Venezuelan oil exports. Reportedly, three Indians were among the crew members.
