Groundwater temperature could rise by 3.5°C, become undrinkable
Groundwater could warm up on average between 2.1 and 3.5 degrees Celsius by the end of century due to climate change, making it undrinkable for billions around the world. A model developed by researchers from Australia, Canada, Germany and Austria predicts the most severe warming will occur in Central Russia, Northern China and parts of North America and Amazon rainforest.
