Growing tendency to append husband’s relatives: SC in 498A case

The Supreme Court acquitted accused in a case under Section 498A of the IPC, saying that the growing tendency to append every relative of the husband casts serious doubt on the wife's allegations. It remarked that the allegations cannot be ambiguous or made in thin air. The husband had challenged his conviction under Section 498A IPC and Dowry Prohibition Act.
