GST collections hit record ₹2.43 lakh cr in April, up 21% from Mar

India’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections hit a record of ₹2.43 lakh crore in April, up 21% from ₹2 lakh crore in March and 8.7% from ₹2.23 lakh crore a year ago. This was driven by higher import revenues even as domestic demand moderated. Net GST revenue stood at ₹2.11 lakh crore, up 7.3% YoY in April this year.
