GST revenue collection rises 13% in December to ₹1.29 lakh crore

The goods and services tax (GST) revenue collected in December 2021 saw a 13% rise year-on-year at ₹1.29 lakh crore, the finance ministry revealed. Out of the total revenue, ₹22,578 crore is CGST and ₹28,658 crore is SGST. December is the sixth month in a row when revenue from goods sold and services rendered stood at over ₹1 lakh crore.
