Former India batter Aakash Chopra said Gujarat Titans may be slightly overdependent on their top order ahead of IPL 2026. Referring to Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and Jos Buttler, he said "Buttler's current form is very pedestrian...both openers can't score runs every time." Notably, Buttler managed to score only 87 runs in eight matches in the T20 World Cup 2026.
