Gujarat aims to become $500 billion economy by 2026-27: CM
Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel said the state government "has set a target to contribute 10% to India's GDP and become a $500 billion economy by 2026-27". The state currently contributes over 8.3% to the national GDP, he stated. He added that Gujarat's GSDP (Gross State Domestic Product) has increased from $17.7 billion in 2002-03 to $282 billion in 2022-23.
