Gujarat braces for intense heat, yellow alert issued

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Gujarat for the next three days, predicting intense heat. Ahmedabad recorded 34 degrees Celsius by 11 a.m. on Friday. The temperature is expected to reach 43 degrees on May 7, the day of Lok Sabha elections in the state.
