Gujarat HC rejects plea to stay demolition of illegal B'deshi settlements

The Gujarat High Court on Tuesday rejected plea to stay demolition being carried out by the state government against alleged illegal settlements of Bangladeshi immigrants in Ahmedabad's Chandola talav area. The government informed court that the demolitions were in the "greatest interest" of "national security" and were based on "sensitive input" in wake of the Pahalgam terror attack.
