Gujarat institutions use biogas to turn energy self-reliant

Gujarat is transitioning to alternative energy by promoting biogas adoption across institutions, ANI reported. Under the state's Institutional Biogas Scheme, institutions, cowsheds and campuses are converting organic waste into clean cooking fuel. According to officials, with subsidies of up to 75%, ₹12 crores have been allocated for 2025-26 to promote the use of clean cooking energy.
