Gujarat is now a significant coconut-producing state

Known for its tender green coconuts, Gujarat is now emerging as a significant coconut-producing state in India. Gujarat is slowly leaving Tamil Nadu, Kerala and even West Bengal behind to supply a large number of coconuts to North India. In the past five years, more and more hectares of fields in Gujarat have been taken over by coconut trees.
