Gujarat man plants 25,000 trees on barren Jamnagar hill in 21 yrs
Gujarat environmentalist Vitthalbhai Mungra transformed a barren hill near Jamnagar into a green landscape by planting over 25,000 trees there over 21 years. He achieved this with the support of volunteers, plantation drives backed by the Forest Department and with the help of local groups. The site has now become a tourist attraction, encouraging environmental awareness and eco-tourism.
