Gujarat releases water from Kadana Dam for Kharif crops

Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel ordered release of 5,500 cusecs from Kadana Dam to irrigate ~80,000 hectares of Kharif crops in Kheda and Anand districts. Gujarat also plans a Rs 50 crore bio-manufacturing ecosystem over five years to promote biofertilisers and reduce dependence on conventional agricultural inputs amid West Asia-driven supply chain concerns.
