Gujarat to seek death penalty for 11 Godhra train burning convicts

Gujarat government told the Supreme Court it will seek death penalty for 11 convicts in the 2002 Godhra train burning case. "This is the rarest of rare cases where 59 people, including women and children, were burnt alive," SG Tushar Mehta, counsel of Gujarat government, said. The apex court said it'll hear bail pleas of several accused after three weeks.
