Gujarat: Toddler dies after 8-hour rescue operation from borewell

A toddler girl from Gujarat died on the way to the hospital after she was rescued from a 30-foot borewell that she had fallen into. Three-year-old Angel Sakhra succumbed to asphyxiation within an hour after she was evacuated, Resident Medical Officer Dr Ketan Bharti told Asian News International. Sakhra had reportedly fallen into the borewell on January 1.
