Gujarat tops Indian states in investment-friendliness; Maha & TN follow

Gujarat topped the first edition of NITI Aayog's Investment Friendliness Index, followed by Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. Goa, Odisha, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Rajasthan featured among the top 10 states while Uttarakhand led among northeastern and hilly states. Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Delhi and Tamil Nadu together attract about 85% of India's FDI inflows.
