Gujarat unveils STI Policy, launches ₹1,000 crore innovation fund

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the Science, Technology & Innovation (STI) Policy 2026-2031 on Sunday. A major highlight of the policy was the launch of a ₹1,000-crore innovation fund to promote indigenous research and reduce reliance on imports. This aligns with the state's aim to nurture 1 lakh skilled researchers by 2030.
