Gulmarg introduces odd-even vehicle rule for the 1st time

In a first-of-its-kind move, authorities in Gulmarg have introduced an odd-even vehicle rule to regulate traffic and protect the hill resort’s fragile ecosystem. The system came into effect recently to ease congestion and reduce pressure from the growing influx of tourists. However, transport and freight vehicles have been exempted from the odd-even rule in Gulmarg.
