Gulveer Singh was unaware of PT Usha's 40-year-old Asian Games record he matched

Indian runner Gulveer Singh said he was unaware that his three-medal haul at Asian Games 2026 equalled PT Usha's 40-year-old record of most individual medals won by an Indian at a single Asian Games. "I did not know that. I was not even born when she [achieved the feat]," Gulveer said. Gulveer won 5,000m bronze and 10,000m and 1,500m silvers.
