Gurindervir Singh creates history, becomes fastest Indian to run 60 metres

Sprinter Gurindervir Singh claimed gold in the men's 60 m race at National Indoor Athletics Championships in Odisha's Bhubaneswar. He completed the race in 6.60 seconds, breaking the previous national record of 6.67 seconds set by Elakiya Dasan in 2018. Notably, national 100 m and 200 m record holder Animesh Kujur was disqualified in the final following false start.
