Gurugram directs owners to register pet dogs as biting cases rise

The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram on Wednesday issued an order directing all pet owners to register their pet dogs amid concerns over rising dog bite incidents. The corporation has also directed owners to not leave their pets unattended in public areas, and said that dogs must be kept on a leash when outside. Officials said violations could invite fines.
