H-1B applications fall 15% after Trump hikes visa fees
After US President Donald Trump increased H-1B visa fees to $100,000, demand for visas has declined this year, as per government data. Applications from employers fell about 15% during the September and mid-February period, while 85 payments were recorded by mid-February, reported Financial Express. For FY26, total eligible registrations dropped 27%, from 470,342 to 343,981, data showed.
