Hackers may have used AI to breach South Korea’s Shinhan Bank
Advanced AI tools may have been used in a cyberattack on South Korea's Shinhan Bank that exposed information of about 25,000 customers, Yonhap News reported. Cybersecurity experts said attackers likely used AI agents to identify vulnerabilities and access a service used by loan recruiters. Shinhan Bank said an unauthorized external party accessed certain services and obtained customer information.
