Hackers send fake mails to exploit Musk's plan to charge for blue tick

Hackers are sending phishing emails to lure Twitter users for a blue tick in an attempt to get their account credentials, according to a report. The phishing attacks began after Twitter's new owner Elon Musk announced an $8 monthly fee for a blue tick in subscribers' accounts. The emails have "don’t lose your free verified status" in the subject line.
